Sexual Indifference by Genophobia
"Sexual Indifference" is Genophobia's follow up to the debut album "Neurodivergent", released in 2023 by Texas label Rural Isolation Project.
On the first album there was a lot more experimentation going on using heavily processed and unconventional sound sources. Each track was very rehearsed and planned out before being recorded. This time around the approach had become much more focused, stripped down and dialed in using only an amplified shaker, eq and a couple of distortion pedals, which made the whole recording process much quicker. Each track was done spontaneously, captured raw in one take with no preconceived notions or post-production.
"Sexual Indifference" is a back-to-basics, no bullshit romp of boisterous analog Harsh Noise channeling the true essence of the project, highly reminiscent of what one would experience seeing Genophobia live.
