I just really like bananas! I’m out and about a fair bit, and I’m no’ the best at remembering tae eat, so - bananas are pretty cool for tha’ as well, eh?

So this may be a weird thing tae say, but I almost didnae make this track as there’s been some chat about how they’re not so sustainable, and I get tha’ with being grown so far away, and suchlike, so I always buy fairtrade too as a think that’s important - ya do what you can, y’ken?

To be fair, I think that’s a big problem for all o’ us though? In our industrialised nations, we’re just part of this huge machine that isnae working right at all. It’s capitalism, colonialism, imperialism, yeah? It’s greed basically, putting profit before people and planet, and it's not right.

I mean, it’s working right if you’re a greedy bastard who just wants tae get rich and damn everybody else, but for the most o’ us, it’s just a shame really, you cannae go a day without lining some arsehole’s pockets.

So yeah, that sucks big time. Mebbe I’ll write about that someday, but for noo this one’s just about how amazing bananas are, and tha’s a bona fide fact, capitalism or no!
