Albi made this music and sent it to me right away. At first I couldn't find what to sing to it. Then after a night of wild oats in Phoenix it just hit me. Like tripped slam poetry that almost made no sense. Like all crazy things the older it gets the more sense it makes. We originally exclusively released this to Pop Icon (Marc Corderre) for his podcast music show. For the first three months or longer that was the only place you'd hear it.
"a LA-via-Texas collective helmed by Raymon Imag [Ray.Moan Eemaj] They make music which draws from a kaleidoscope of influences, skipping from alt-R&B to murky electronica with howling post-rock guitars to Smiths-style indie balladry. Lyrically, upfront, down-and-dirty lyrics about gay sex hide universal themes of insecurity, dysfunction and a need for connection."
