Profane Altar by Act of Impalement
Recorded in December of 2024 with a new line up, Profane Altar is the 3rd album by death metal band Act of Impalement hailing from Nashville, Tennessee. Consisting of original guitarist/vocalist Ethan Rock, along with long time collaborators Aaron Hortman (drums), and Jerry Garner (bass), this release dives deeper into the darkness than previous offerings with more occultic elements to the lyrics as well as an overall more oppressive atmosphere. Still clinging to influences such as Autopsy, Cianide, and Incantation, Profane Altar brings more touches of bands like Archgoat and Belgium's Possession into the fold on this latest plunge into blasphemous filth
