Ontological by Adam Johan Bergren
This one is best summarized as a sci-fi space thriller with psychedelic elements and an arc through our perceptions of reality. From surviving on Mars to warping to a dimension that resolves the inexplicable, this one covers strange ground. I used a ton of sound design tools here, including a bunch of vocals that I greatly enjoyed!
The story told in this album is a weird tale, with tools including time signatures in 4/4, 5/4, 7/8, 11/16, and a transition from 4/4 to 6/8. In addition, I blended a bunch of backward segments that are also sometimes time stretched. These effects and the sound design were made for a spacey voyage to the beyond, with as much as you can see in the sonic psychedelia found here.
