Pararatronic by KUNTARI & ADDICTIVE TV
Weaving together contemporary electronic music and traditional folkloric elements, Pararatronic is a collaborative release from Indonesian composer KUNTARI and British artists ADDICTIVE TV.
The name refers to the Pararaton - the ancient Indonesian book of kings and legends of Ken Arok. Each artist’s tracks, while very different, are produced from field recordings, including with singer Nur Handayani, creating textured layers, at times dark and haunting and at others ethereal and joyous.
Pararatronic is supported by the British Council Indonesia as part of their Connections Through Culture initiative.
