When Yosef Gutman, a deeply spiritual Haredi music producer and bass player from Jerusalem, reached out after hearing my ambient work, I couldn’t imagine how powerful our connection would become. We come from very different worlds — I’m a secular composer from Tel Aviv — yet music instantly bridged that gap. Yosef was searching for sound that could hold space for reflection and healing. I sent him some ambient texture sketches built from evolving modular synths, and when he added his warm, melodic bass, something clicked. We started exchanging ideas between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, and a new voice emerged — one that blended the organic with the electronic, the spiritual with the human. Moments became our meeting point, joined by Gilad Ronen’s flutes and clarinets. In a time of conflict and separation, this collaboration reminded me how music can heal, connect, and create unity where words often fail.
