anodyne by stan zenkov
"Anodyne" is an album of acoustic solo bass clarinet playing recorded in an artist's painting studio to explore the naturally reverberating sound of the room. Stan Zenkov's focus is on the use of the instrument as a voice, on investigating certain aspects of aloneness in free improvisation, and reconnecting solo wind instrument playing to folk music ritual practice.
