Perfect Mirror

In a room draped in shadow, a silent plea,
I see myself in silver, young and free.
Echoes of a lifetime yet to unfold,
I touch the glass, forever bold.

Eyes of innocence, gaze back unscathed,
Yet fear whispers deep in my veins laid.
A perfect mirror, hiding what lies beneath,
A pact unseen, beauty’s wreath.

In the perfect mirror, I am forever mine,
A face untouched, in flawless design.
In a world of fading days,
My youth forever stays.

What price for this gift? What toll unknown?
I’m caught in this spell, beauty overthrown.
Reflections lie, with truths unsaid,
This mirror holds the life I’ve fled.

Time can’t touch what I refuse,
In the perfect mirror, I cannot lose.
But the mirror’s curse lies deep within,
My youth survives, yet the soul wears thin.

In the perfect mirror, I am forever mine,
But the cracks reveal, a silent crime.

In the mirror, I see... what I wish to be.
