Your Town
Your Town is the title track to Alex Hodgins’ debut EP. It was written in the annex of the famous Eldorado Hotel in Dawson City, the frontier of the ‘98 gold rush. Alone with winter biting at the windows, Alex wrote this song to lift his spirits. Inspired by the setting, this song has an old time bluesy sound. The song opens with a smooth standup bassline and features slide guitar, banjo, clinking bottles and even an out of tune upright piano - the type that would be found in any smoky tavern.
