Africa from Duologue by Alfredo Rodriguez and Pedrito Martinez
Pianist Alfredo Rodriguez was born in Cuba to a musical family, his father a popular singer and TV host. While performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2006 Rodriguez was discovered by the legendary Quincy Jones, who went on to produce all five of Rodriguez’s albums. As jazz music sees a resurgence in younger audiences, Rodriguez is leading the way for the new wave of Cuban musicians.
