Cryptophasia is about emotional duality. Splitting yourself in two, and letting the feelings trapped inside pour out. It's about learning how to let go of what's holding you back and learning how to protect what you've got, simultaneously.
Communication between two parts of yourself, that only you can truly understand.

Over the past year I've often felt overwhelmed by apathy and despair, in both a personal sense and from a world view. This EP is built on fighting the feeling that there's nothing worth saving in myself or the world around me. The only way to fight that feeling was to confront it head on, and that was terrifying.

Tearing open your emotional insides, wondering if there's anything left at all, is terrifying. I found parts me that I forgot existed, parts of me that I shamed into silence, and piece by piece I began to put them back together; a mirrored version of myself that I have come to care deeply for, and will do anything to protect.

Despite everything, she is still me.
