Colonel Tom Parker made a name for himself as the leader and mandolinist of the late, lamented, Backstabbers Country Stringband. The 'stabbers were a mainstay of old-time and acoustic country music in Canada for over a decade, and held the torch for raucous roots music. These days you can find the Colonel with the torch still held high in hand, leading his new electrified band The American Pour.
