While it just sounds like a bunch of loud smeary noises, this first album of new material from me in almost three years was heavily inspired by listening to *a lot* of vaporwave. But of course I couldn't help but drown everything in noise: distortion, overdrive, endless tape delays, reverbs, etc. etc. etc.

I don't know if this is significantly different from what it would have sounded like if I'd recorded this album the better part of 30 years ago. But at the time, it was a lot harder to sample the sort of things I used to build these tracks. I do like the idea of someone doing this in 1996, though, inspired by softcore movies and erotic thrillers rather than the preoccupation of that era with using hardcore porn and serial killers as inspiration and material for artwork. The message boards would be aflutter with Cold Meat Industry fans making fun of it, as would be their right!

Anyway, as usual I made this because I wanted to hear it. Enjoy.
