Anathema have spent the vast majority of their career making music that defies description. Formed in the mid 90s, they have risen to become one of the UK’s most cherished and critically acclaimed rock bands.

With their star rising ever higher, Anathema returned in 2014 with ‘Distant Satellites’. The new studio album showcased another imperious forward step into the realm of miraculous songwriting. Distant Satellites was recorded at Cederberg Studios in Oslo with favoured producer Christer-André Cederberg. Alongside additional mixing by Grammy Nominated Steven Wilson, ANATHEMA also brought in the legendary services of Dave Stewart (Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson) to create the new album’s extraordinary orchestral arrangements.

Distant Satellites was one of the most celebrated and lauded albums of 2014 and will surely be recognised as their finest album to date. It is a gleaming anthology of beautifully crafted songs, performed with vitality, verve and utmost passion, once again demonstrating the sublime, instinctive songwriting talents of the Cavanagh brothers and drummer John Douglas.
