Born in New Haven, Connecticut, USA in November 1957, youngest of 4. Grew up in coastal New Jersey and Northern Illinois. Got a guitar age 10 and got serious about it age 12 and ever since. Got married and divorced twice and then stopped with that nonsense. Two children, Louis and Casey. Favorite novelists are Joseph Conrad and Jeanette Winterson, who doesn't care for Conrad.
