BTTFL from Light by Anna Ling
BTTFL begins in four-part a cappella harmony - “(there is a) Beauty To The Fading Light…”. It holds the bittersweetness of endings - that way clarity can arrive after intensity fades. The instrumental section carries a circling, Gnawa-inspired pulse using qraqeb percussion, evoking the sense of being inside something, in contrast to the defined choral start and end.
