Alan Stuart began his music career DJing hip hop and downtempo in Chicago in the late 1990s. His debut album "Mountains Rise" was released under the moniker DJ Anomaly in 2003 on his label SGE Records. He would consider his influences to be artists such as DJ Premier, DJ Shadow, Kraftwerk, Boards of Canada, and DJ Sneak. He also has released music under the name Hawkmoth SGE.
