this cd was made for E. - i thought she’d come running back once she heard how brilliant i was and how much love was in the music. did she come running back once she heard them? no

… still, i'm glad i kept a copy, in my drawer all these years - a belated bonus birthday present to you rhodri.

Rhodri Davies: Between 2001 and 2011 John recorded 10 albums for me, one a year, as birthday gifts. The music is beautiful, inventive, personal, romantic, experimental and sometimes silly, much like my friend. After years of haranguing him to do something with it, I persuaded him to upload them here. I have listened to this music over and over and I am glad to share it.
