"Interception" starts with full-on 909 sounds shaping an on-edge techno design contrasted by melodic synth patterns to reinforce this relentless pursuit.
"Tokyo Principle" with its rugged bassline is a rougher affair. While sequencer sounds create organized chaos, in which bleeps emerge as some kind of encrypted data, the vivid strings are the most prominent electro particles of this gritty arrangement.
On the B-side Anthony Rother evolves his floor-aimed capabilities with a tongue-in-cheek provocation: "This Is 3L3C7RO" deliberately toys with the clichés of both genres by rearranging some of electro's traditions, extracting its song character in order to reduce everything to monotonous patterns — refined by the legendary Fairlight CMI as well as Waldorf Wave, two synthesizers of his hardware-heavy studio space.
"Polycentric" thrives on its rave-like momentum in which old-school drums and pacing noises ultimately merge into this wall of sounds embracing the full frequency spectrum.
