With the crazy time signatures of the middle part and the speeding up and slowing down, this was a fun one to record!
For even more fun, the guitar solo is made up of phrases traded between two different-sounding guitars. (A trick I hadn't used since "Rock & Roll Stan" on 1995's "Smooch!" record.)
Backing vocalist Scott Vernon's smooth sound is very much in evidence on this one.
To this day, the only song I've ever recorded with a stand-up bass. Played very nicely by Mike Overton.
