Icarus from Static noise by Ariel Mioduser

The theme of this piece is based on a fantasy about my trip to outer space and an unexpected meeting with Icarus, the defamed hero whom I admire for sticking to his dreams in spite of the high cost he had to pay.
The raw material of the sound is largely based on my voice, processed to a point where it is sometimes unrecognizable as a human voice, but still carries the warmth and vibration of the original.

I am a media artist focusing on animation, digital painting and sound. The sound is largely based on my voice, sometimes unrecognizable as a human voice, still carryimg the human warmth and vibration.
My main subject is a sense of duality, being and not being, belonging and feeling detached, looking from within and from outside, connected to my personal history as an immigrant.
