Aukile is a solo noise project focused to express through physical chaotic vibrations the primitive primal scream for the purpose of inducing aural delirious visions in the 'Mundus Imaginalis', in the sense that Henry Corbin used the term; an "Imaginal" "interworld", a "transspace" that is a Real paradoxical "realm", an in-between state (in both material and spiritual sense) that actively "moulds" All that we think as "Reality". In some sense I can say that that is something I strive towards also in some other musical projects too - but Aukile is a very particular & precious project for me, an harsh dive into the whirling χάος / kháos Itself! - which is not just 'violent' to me, but essentially expressing the overwhelming Life, pulsing & mutating every moment.
'Aukile' is a Finnish word for 'fontanelle', the so-called "crown chakra", that remains 'soft' & 'open' after birth for some time. The album's name 'Myrkkymuratti' means 'Poison Ivy'. Some Tibetan mystics have practiced for a long time a death-rite, that aims to release the practitioner from the body through just bursting out of the body through the fontanelle. Weird, eh? :D And 'Myrkkymuratti' was a book for children that was my favourite when I was a child, and I demanded it to be read to me over and over..... So these kind of things have inspired this record.
Performed & recorded spontaneously 13.10.2006 @Lehtokatu, minimal compositional editing done 02.10.2020 at @Tuulentupa- a day before my Father died; so this is dedicated to him. May his journey continue in overwhelming bliss!
