The repeated motif of "all in the stillness of liminal ends" speaks to the resignation of time's passage, while the phrase “severed lies on his demise beneath the moonrise” provides a striking image of death and rebirth. The song contemplates mortality, a recurring theme in the album, as well as the fleeting nature of dreams and ambitions. This "ephemeral" quality, where all things eventually fade, is perhaps the album's grandest message: nothing lasts, and there is no escape from the cycles of existence.
