Star by Babaganouj
With their EPs “Pillar of Light” and “Hard to Be” released earlier this year Babaganouj have undertaken the ambitious project of releasing a third EP in 2016.
The new single “Star” is taken from the upcoming EP “Clarity Restored” due for release this year. Star is the epitome of a Babaganouj track, featuring boy/girl vocal harmonies, soaring guitar solos and heavy drum fills. The track was recorded with Sean Cook at Plutonium studios in Brisbane.
Earlier this year, “Pillar of Light” and “Hard to Be” caught the attention of Japanese label 2670 Records and have since been released in record stores all over Japan earning top sellers in Tower Records, Shinjuku. “Clarity Restored” is due for release in Japan in February with a Japanese tour to follow.
By undertaking three releases in 2016 the band have expanded the scope of their craft, showcasing each members vocal and songwriting talents. This has allowed the band to focus their power-pop racket while exploring new styles and themes. In everything ‘Nouj produces are infectious lyrics, intense riffs and unreal magnetism.
