Pawns & Queens from Erratomania by Bardic Mechanism
This song came to be because I watched the official music video to Kings & Queens by Ava Max and decided that I can't respect the queen portrayed in it. What would a respectable and powerful queen sound like when aggrieved? This song is one answer.
Much as the lyrics are an ennobled version of Kings & Queens, the cover art is a play on the Kings & Queens visual aesthetic. My heavy metal queen is clad in black instead of white. Her hair is short rather than long. She is not (visibly) armed. And, if I ever make the full poster available, you will notice that her legs are crossed rather than obnoxiously spread.
This post-apocalyptic fantasy queen takes her position seriously. She does not tantrum or resort to the personal application of brute force to solve problems. She pays attention to her court and uses her social position to achieve results. This queen does not need to draw a weapon. She draws conclusions.
