QUESTIONS

If I asked you to stop fighting
Said it was for your own good
Would anybody listen?
I don’t think they would…
Would you trade the lives of innocents, for money or for oil?
Do you think by being ignorant that we are any less to blame?

If I said we should be thinking
Not just taking someone’s word
Would anybody question…
…what they had overheard?
Try and sell me your religion, if you think that you should
But beware of those who teach you that to not believe is sin.

Don’t be taken in by those who tell you that war is the only answer
And do you really think the families of those who die in the name of peace will just forgive?
Are we any more than terrorists if we watch the trigger pulled?

If we all stood up and shouted
That we wanted no more wars
It wouldn’t get us closer
To sorting out the cause
Can you say you don’t discriminate, as you look around the room?
Would you be prepared to sacrifice for the people you don’t know?

Don’t be taken in by those who tell you that war is the only answer
And do you really think the families of those who die in the name of peace will just forgive?
