Been talking to myself
Wondering what’s my role
And I have found that-
I’m the heart you wear on your sleeve
And the surface is starting to get piley
I’ve tried to think of 20 questions-
To get you to open up to me

I open my door there you are-
Long lashes looking down
Move on without a greeting
Yeah this is every morning

See words are my love language
But you keep talking to me with deeds
So I don’t know what you are feeling
And the silence-
It bothers me

So now I’ve got expectations
And they’re not being met but I don’t plan to change them

Yeah you could call me insecure
'Cause I always need to be reassured
But when it seems like you’ve been gone for days
And when I start to questions things-
I wonder do you blame me?

Tunnel vision when I call your name but we’re staring at separate planes
I’ve got a vision of what I want but you don’t get lost in me

Am I convinced there’ll be a day

Say things no words could say

Yet I remain part of your sleeve

Would telepathy even remedy?

Maybe it’s old fears
That make me analyse
Everytime that I am filled with joy an old saying will come to mind
