"Plaything" is an album of guitar-based instrumentals, in a similar style to my 'The Romance Of Sustain' album. The album's packaging was created by respected American artist Frank Olinsky who has designed covers for many major musical artists. (Frank's original artwork is downloadable along with the album.) The 'Plaything' CD has been out of print for several years now and has become a sought after item amongst collectors. This digital re-issue will enable more people to hear the music on 'Plaything' without being forced to pay the premium prices asked for second-hand copies of the original CD. The album contains some of my personal favourite instrumental recordings, particularly 'Rainclouds Over Paris Of My Dreams,' 'A Prayer To Sleep With Mercurial Women,' 'The Revenge Of The Man In The Burning Ice Cream Van,' 'The Embarkation Song Of The Last Fast Airship,' 'Come To Me In My Dreams' and 'Six-Legged Critter Singing In The Trees.' I'm pleased to make this music available again and hope you will enjoy exploring its twists and turns." Bill Nelson September 2014.
