Everlasting Remembrance by Billy Plant

Everlasting Remembrance is a documentary of the way I feel at a point in my life. It is a testament to things I love and the beauty I’ve seen as well as an elegy for times, places, and people that have passed and won’t return again. In these recordings I offer appreciation for the happiness and insight these experiences and relationships have brought to my life.

But artistically speaking, what is the album? It’s a spoken word Beat-literature inspired lo-fi fluxus leaning pastiche with elements of musique concrete; a new age homily to old time music, somewhere in that space where mandolins pluck out old ballads and keyboards synthesize sounds and progressions beyond the ability of my fingers to create.

I hope you enjoy listening to Everlasting Remembrance as much I’ve enjoyed creating it.
