Paradise Siberiaについて
PPTVによるこの作品パラダイスシベリアでは発酵のプロセスを可聴化するデバイスであるNOWHERE SOUND MACHINEが使用されている。
A面ではDJミックスを聴かせた酵母から受け取る信号をMIDI変換してシンセを発音、対するB面では酵母の信号に合わせて音源を重ねていくというA面とは逆のアプローチを試みた。
よってパラダイスシベリアは菌とDJの対話を記録したドキュメンタリー作品とも言えるだろう。
About Paradise Siberia
This work by PPTV, Paradise Siberia, uses the Nowhere Sound Machine, a device that makes the process of fermentation audible.
On side A, the signal received from the yeast listening to the dj mix is converted to midi and the synth is pronounced, while on side B, music by dj according to the signal from the yeast, which is the opposite approach to side a.
Therefore, Paradise Siberia can be called a documentary work that records the dialogue between yeast and dj.
