Because from Projects by Blair Buchanan and friends

Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Performed by the Beatles and released on Abbey Road.

This is a project that took a bit of preparation. I laid down the vocal tracks using a synth, then got my friends Tara Heft and Tim Lewis to sing with me using the synth tracks as vocal guides. Later, I added electric guitar, clavinet, synth (mini Moog) and bass guitar. We each did three tracks, so there are 9 vocal tracks in all. When I read that the Beatles did it in 16 takes, I was really humbled. Elliot Smith's version from American Beauty is amazing - that's the version I copied.
