Lyrics

Old Sheriff's eyes grew heavy.
A distant church bell held him.
He drew his mind to slowly….

Well all around in these devil towns good men get hurt. When tragedy plants it's seed of apathy in a young man's heart.

Who sees that where this leads ends up creating more?
And that's called evil.

Old Sheriff's eyes grew heavy.
A distant church bell held him.
He drew his mind to slowly….

Recall the past.
And where'd it start?
Now deep inside his darkened mind, our fallen Sheriff reworks the dirt.
You know people who act cruel were cruelly treated too?
By us, by them, by me, by you.
In the wrong? in the right?
A million miles of blame,
but in the end it's a vicious cycle that your feeding.

The first stone’s thrown from unknown.
Guess what?
It doesn't matter.

Old Sheriff's eyes grew heavy.
A distant church bell held him.
He drew his mind to slowly….

He stole a young man’s youth.
Now in his old age that youngin's wrath has found him.
And snuck up quick to cut him deep.

Will he break and join the chain or will he break that chain to pieces?

Will the man become a monster or destroy what truly brewed the beast?

Their both within their right to be a dog and eat each other.
But why bother?
See the circle.
Change the game.
That's what matters.

Old Sheriff's eyes grew heavy.
A distant church bell held him.
He drew his mind to slowly….

The first stone’s thrown from unknown.
Guess what?
It doesn't matter.
