My God has a plan for me
said the girl with the heartless sleeve
he'll fill my daughter's bellies
and save a little but for me
what I'm not understanding
is why it seems to be so hard
to balance expectations
and keep my self-identity
I know I should be thankful
for the bills I pay each month
and it's the ones that got no shit
yeah, they're the unlucky ones
still, I can't shake this feeling
that I'm doing something wrong
maybe I'll take a vacation, or maybe I'll just move on

my mirrors must be broken, and my fever must be lifted
you don't have to be lost to be found
the ending to the story meets the sad reality
