BlueSanct is once again proud to offer this powerful video collection, presented in co-operation with Chicago based film company ignorant noise productions and Tugboat Records UK.

Eight films for the music of LOW. This collection spans LOW’s career from 1994-1999.

The tape begins with five films by Kirstin Grieve, featuring tracks from LOW’s first two releases for Kranky Records. Shot at Alan and Mimi’s house in Duluth, their intense claustrophobic shots and found footage match LOW’s introspective minimalist as maximalist song structures. Celebration and melancholy simultaneously.

Also included are LOW’s three videos made for Vernon Yard by Harder-Fuller Films. A sort of ‘holy grail’ for LOW fans, these videos were previously only available on promotional reels and were virtually impossible to find.

Since the original release of this tape in 1999, Kirstin’s films have caught the eye of filmmaker Cameron Crowe, who used work by her in his most recent film, Vanilla Sky. If you watch closely, you may catch a glimpse of the ‘Weight of Water’ video among her shots they used.
