Impermanence by Blue Stockings
'Impermanence', is a collection of songs that explore various sub-genres of folk music with influences ranging from psychedelic 70s folk and traditional ballads. Impermanence is a concept EP, with the lyrics and themes of the songs each reflecting a different Tarot card. The body of work comes to reflect a querent, or the subject of the reading, who is at a crossroads in their life. Stuck in the wrong career, wrong relationship and wrong circle of friends. Uncertainty and indecisiveness is the core of the reading - but so is the knowledge that this is only temporary, and someday clarity and peace will come.
