Vague ~ Wave by BLVD NOIR

An evolution from their previous works, BLVD NOIR has refined their creative flow with their 4th album, “Vague ~ Wave”. Their approach is akin to subtractive sculpting, uncovering the songs as they chip away in the ephemeral sonic medium. These works, unearthed, have been given a final treatment by their unofficial 4th member, Slade Templeton (Influx Studios out of Bern, Switzerland), and are ready for consumption.

Vague ~ Wave continues in BLVD NOIR’s genre-bending approach, incorporating elements of house, techno, trip hop, dub, psychedelia, ambient, and experimental. Each track stands alone with unique arrangements, utilizing instruments like the Iranian setar, recorder, child’s piano, tablas, saxophones, guitars, synthesizers, and plenty of other instruments. Employing experimental recording techniques, like saxophone and vocals in the steam shower or drums in the bathroom or getting massages while creating the ambient track, BLVD NOIR achieves palpable sonic realms that bring the listener on a journey through vast cosmic landscapes that are novel and intrinsically familiar at the same time.
