RÜYA by BODUR
RÜYA is the Turkish word for ‘dream’ and the five songs on this project were written from the perspective of the woman I am in my dreams. A bolder and braver Chloe, that doesn’t blame herself for the abuse she has experienced, that is able to express her sexuality freely, that is self-assured and has an abundance of love for herself. The adoption of a character voice for this project allowed me to push my creative boundaries both lyrically and musically beyond my first EP ‘Panties & Loafers’ and second EP ‘MAVI’. The mixture of live-band recordings, electronic production and my signature layered vocal harmonies on this new project allowed me to create an immersive, ‘dream-like’ psychedelic soul soundscape that I’m excited to invite you all into
