Blokc & Groj is collaboration project dedicated to creating effective sensual dance music with an aggressive yet understated tone. Both Groj and Blokc normally explore more mellow or experimental melodic techno. This project wishes to carry on that tradition while also offering a more intense experience that uniquely transports dancing to points of culmination.
Their first appearance was the dreamy track Jasper on Manual Music's Manualism 5.0. Here their debut EP Fourhorn opens with Ektorp, a deep track with a wailing synth that opens and closes delicately like a flower. Next in line is the slamming Erhap. While some may be surprised at first by the frenzy of heavy polyrhythms, its pounding and compassionate melody compels you to certain head-banging. The EP closes with the driving track Fourhorn, which has had a persistent club history of opening the pores of a crowd's very heart, guiding them blissfully to the peak of their spiritual journey.
