Never did we stop to tell or to recall

Then the fall
Brought me so low
That was the longest night that I ever have known
How did I not see that and know we were out of control?
Why was I not ruined enough that it somehow would show?

Never could I say I've had about enough
It took all my will just to get through the day

So I bluff

Still, you can't stand to not have the old pull over me
