Richard from Apartments by Built Like Alaska

Richard was Charlies brother, although I could never tell who was older. Richard sat outside in a folding chair drinking his cheap beer and cackling. He liked Old Milwaukee the best. He worried about his brother's need to have companionship and often shouted profanities at the ladies (if you could call them that) that hung out down the walk at his brother's apartment.

Built Like Alaska: a rock band from California. Surrounded by rolling pastures, a cold river, and stony foot hills, the band has developed their craft to reflect the scenery surrounding them. Bringing a rural perspective to sturdy rock songs, the music has been said to conjure images both "warm and rich as the central valley sun” and as isolated as a “mic stand draped in cob webs...."
