Free B3 by Steve Cohn
Known for his piano and shakuhachi playing over multiple decades, Steve Cohn delves into the unique sonorities and textures of the Hammond B3 organ on this album. Along with drummer Mark Gelfand and two bassists (John Donnelly on contrabass and Carl Baugher on electric bass guitar), Cohn creates a sonic landscape of shifting, often swirling invention that will be of particular interest to the adventurous listener who favors free improvisation.
