Humans find their thrills in various ways. Music artists, for the most part, are at their best when creating music. For me, the thrill of discovery is one of the most satisfying elements in the process. In my music, my language (which I have developed over many years) allows me to pursue directions and approaches that often result in surprising and typically delightful moments. These are the moments of frisson.
