this album began as a little creative exercise to get myself out of a rut, the first song i did for it was state trooper, which was inspired by the time that i snuck into a club in Goa with my friend and we got stopped by security but he told me he would handle it and i should run and then when i got to the dancefloor it was a remix of state trooper with the refrain "mr. state trooper, please dont stop me, please dont stop me" playing again and again. i couldnt find that version of the song anywhere, so i decided to make up my own little one.
these are all songs about loss, things not going the way you planned, the things you do to get through a hard time--stuff we've all experienced the last couple of years. i hope you enjoy them
