Revelation
I have waited all my life
For a storm to
Split the sky, and blind with light

Bring me danger
A triumph for awakening
Years of hunger
Bruising deep beneath my skin
Never enough to kill me
As I run to the tower
In the chaos, in the distance
I can see a star

In one life,
I played inside the lightning clouds
Now I fear the desires I can’t speak aloud
Life is a subtle poison
To keep us aground
Tired and beaten, but I run to the tower

The air I breathe
Becomes the wind that blows
From embers to a flame

I climb the fallen stair
Hitt each step with a sigh
The power from my prayer
holding through this fight

And I see it now, through the burning cloud
And the smoke it stings my eyes
And I wished it, and I needed it
A storm so wild it scorched the skies

And the suffering from my tears
Drowns me
As my tower crashes down
And I’m laughing
And I’m screaming
As the flames fall all around
