Between Integers by Les Beaux Plastiques
An exploration into, not only, the space between whole numbers within the realms of data sonification and audio manipulation, but also how temporal factors can influence the perception of minimal ambient music.
Between 0 and 1 sees a range of sine waves, set at intervals on 1Hz being modulated by 1 degree in every aspect, with a click being modulated by 1 step, over the course of 1 minute and 11 seconds to set a baseline "control" for the work.
Each subsequent track adds another step to modulations, intervals, and time to see how these parameters can affect and distort the original track into something different that dances on the border of what is considered music.
