As a moth drawn to flame, Joey falls into the quicksand of conspiracy theorists and charlatans. In the wee hours after work, Joey swallows the bait and buys into strident, skewed messages and is wholly indoctrinated into a new world of causation. This scenario is encapsulated in” Midnight.”
