"LAWNSMELL were fun, not at all like 'musos' and we didn't give a shit. We decided at an ALL gig to put a band together - we played heaps, made regular noise, got better at whatever it was we were doing then called it a day when it wasn't fun anymore. We made tons of friends, played with bands from BROTHER BRICK to RADIO BIRDMAN - GILGAMESH to MIDGET - MEANIES to the HARD-ONS - ALL to ALL YOU CAN EAT. We didn't record half the songs we initially played (which kind of sucks) but the main stuff (and some unreleased stuff) is here on these discs. If you saw us live, you know Lawnsmell. We seemed to play with all types of bands, as long as it was fun and a little challenging. That's what a band is all about. If you don't know what I'm on about or you don't get that dangerous thrill from music (or your own band)...I pity you. To those that enjoyed themselves up the front, love always.
