Camron Beale’s “songsinthecontextofyou” These songs split the difference between serious & fun. It’s some tricky stuff. It has songs like “front seat“ that can be part of a summer soundtrack you never want to end. But then you get drowsy, rainy-day window-watchers like “steadyheart“ that drags up old regrets. When it’s not fuzzy, soft-focus indie pop, it’s amiable mid-fi college rock. Which keeps it from being monotonous like a lot of other bandcamp projects out there. & ultimately the driving force of this album’s scrappy charm just trying to embrace silly love songs.
