Flames by Marc Almond & Chris Braide
Flames was recorded and performed live at London’s Festival Hall in 2020, during a landmark three-hour concert by Marc Almond & Chris Braide celebrating their songwriting partnership.
The show showcased material from the critically acclaimed Velvet Trail, alongside classic Soft Cell songs and a selection of Chris Braide’s most widely known hit compositions. Spanning decades of collaboration and influence, the performance captured the breadth of their shared musical language — intimate, dramatic, and unapologetically melodic.
A defining moment of the evening, Flames emerged as a highlight of the set: expansive, emotionally charged, and emblematic of the creative connection between Almond and Braide.
